This pretty little Dobergirl was surrendered to a shelter with the explanation that the family had a child and no time for this sweet Dobe.
That circumstance is self evident, given the fact that she came to us full of intestinal worms, parasites, was not spayed, and had eye infections. As you can imagine, every one of these is being/has been treated since her arrival at Elijah’s House, and now she is fine. She’s a pretty, petite, sweet little girl, a bit tentative at first when meeting new folks, but she warms up quickly and gives little kisses. She has a beautiful, dark-red coat and is quite the lady as far as manners go, and no jumping.
We are thankful to Rescue Angels for helping her find her way safely from the shelter to DRT; many dogs through the years have come to us through the assistance of such loving, caring friends of Dobermans, and we are constantly thankful for their commitment to saving Dober lives.
Observations from our volunteers: "This petite little girl seems to be a bit reserved, and I look forward to see if next week she becomes more comfortable with her new surroundings. I took her to the corral, where she cautiously explored. With minor hesitance, she would approach me when I called her and let me pet her, despite being somewhat timid still."
“Dearg is such a pretty and petite pup. Her golden brown color is striking. She is a bit shy, but has warmed up considerably since her arrival at DRT. She’s as sweet as she can be, loves affection, and when she trusts, she follows you around - a true companion! She is very soft with her kisses and response to the affection she gets. You can tell her confidence will continue to grow with acclimation.”
This lovely little girl has everything positive to offer, and there’s no doubt she’ll become a loving companion in a home that nurtures her and where she feels confident. If you think your home may be the one, follow the usual routine: apply, approval, appointment, arrive, acquaint, away. And a fortunate family you will be. |
