Isn’t this just the prettiest little girl you’ve seen in a while? And she’s as sweet and loving as she is cute.
She came to us after her human had to move into an apartment. Here’s how he describes things: “She was given to me when I was living in a home in California with a backyard. When I moved here, I had to move into an apartment. My work schedule now forces me to leave her alone for long periods of time. I try to keep her active as much as possible, but it’s becoming something I’m incapable of maintaining. She needs to be with someone that has the ability to give her the time and attention she deserves and needs. She knows to sit, stay, shake, and down on command. She will spin around and then wait for permission to eat. ”She loves to chase thrown balls and sticks, and she loves rubber balls and toys, although I wouldn’t recommend stuffing-filled toys and squeaky toys, as she will rip them open.”
Carol says “She‘s very attentive, comes when called, and walks nicely on a leash.”
Observations from our volunteers: “My first encounter with her was as we were putting out dogs in the morning. She didn’t want me anywhere near her and struck an intimidating figure as she bared her teeth and barked at me. It turned out this was very effective bluster. Later on, I sat with her and Kelly in the corral, and she couldn’t have been sweeter to me, Dobe “lean” and all. It turned out all that intimidating bluster was fear of the unknown, me, and that in fact she was just a lover.”
This little jewel seems like a real “find” to me. If you think so too, you know the drill: apply, approval, appointment, attend, away. |
