Breckenridge is another one who arrived recently with no known past. She’s a perfectly beautiful, very petite Dobergirl, regal in style yet uncertain and hesitant in light of the recent changes in her life. What she needs more than anything is the certainty of being in a loving, nurturing home where she can relax and gain confidence once again.
Volunteer observations: “This poor girl seems very confused and a bit nervous about her change in living arrangements. When I first saw her in the ramp, she stayed several feet away from the gate and was barking. Later on, I decided to try to meet her one on one. When I went to get her out of her outside run she backed up against the door and eyed me suspiciously. I approached her slowly with reassuring tones and she allowed me to slip the lead over her head without incident. Some dogs will try to snap when scared, but she accepted me just fine. We went to the corral, and while I kept her on the lead she let me rub her ears and the underside of her jaw. She seemed to like the jaw rubs most. I’m pretty sure she’ll relax once she realizes she’s in a better situation."
This lovely young lady is ready for a home where she can bond with her humans and blossom into her full potential. If you think your home is a match, here’s the sequence: apply, acceptance, schedule a visit, come meet, take home. It’s that simple, and happiness will abound all around. |
