Casamigos was here and gone almost overnight to DRT‘s original, first volunteer! Now the two senior ladies keep company with one other, and the Doberman has a home where she can roam freely inside, go out the doggy door to the fenced-in yard, and enjoy her car rides when errands are run. That’s a winning solution all around!
She came to us from a divorce (divorces and moves send many dogs to us). Here’s how her former dad describes it: “She has been living with my ex-wife for the past two years. She no longer wants to take care of her, because she and the other dog in the house at times don’t get along. I can‘t take her because the apartments I stay in do not allow Dobermans, and it would be unfair to have her in a place where she couldn‘t have freedom in a yard to roam. She has been well taken care of and deserves a good home.”
They apparently had her from a pup, and he cried when he dropped her off. Such are the devices of us humans in our quests for relational peace. No matter what, the kids and pets always suffer.
Thankfully, she was scooped up immediately and is once again in a loving, caring home for the rest of her life. Peace, happiness, and fulfillment to her and her gracious new owners. Amen. |
