This little Doberteen came to us from a loving Dober mom. Here’s how she describes things: “I live in a condo. I‘ve had Dobermans before. I just lost one in December, and condo living had been fine for him. I got Blandy from a shelter in January, but I’ve come to realize that my home isn‘t best for her. She has lots of energy, and she needs a yard to run in. She’s also very social and she loves being with another dog when she‘s on play dates. She‘s very loving and full of energy. I walk her and take to the dog park, but she needs more activity than I can give her. She knows to off and stay, and she gives paw. She isn‘t a chewer (furniture, shoes, clothing, etc), and would follow me everywhere and lie by my side. She also didn’t have any fears - not afraid of loud noises or thunderstorms - she‘s a great companion. She loves to run and chase the ball, and she brings it back. She loves long walks, being around people, walking on the beach, and she’s and a wonderful car rider. She deserves to live her best life where she can run and enjoy being outside. I want her to be happy.”
In her brief time with us so far, we see that she is outgoing, full of life, and ready to go to her new home. She walks nicely on a leash and did well for her vet examination.
Observations from our volunteers: “I spent time with Blandy today as she was playing Archee. Those two sure do get along well! Between playing with Archee and watching the picture-taking activities in Rasin’s Ridge, she would periodically come over and give me a few quick kisses and let me stroke her face, then she’d be off again. This sequence repeated itself several time. She has a very pretty face!”
“Blandy is obviously super cute! She is young and playful and easy to get to know. I played-stalked her, where I walked very slowly toward her while staring right at her, as if I were stalking her. She absolutely loved it! She tried to stay still but was definitely keeping an eye on me. When I got close enough, she just lost it and started running around the field as fast as she could. She would run right by me like a flash basically saying, "Catch me if you can!" She has lots of energy, but not over the top. She will definitely put a smile on your face!”
Here’s a ready-to-go, full-of-energy, social gadabout who’s eager for a new home where she can play and interact to her heart’s content. If you think yours may be a match, apply, get approved, make an appointment, and come meet, observe, fall in love, and take her home. You’ll both be happier, if you do. |
