We don’t know much about this Doberboy’s background other than that he was a stray that rescues angels brought to DRT. What we do know, is that he’s a happy, carefree, energetic, friendly fellow just brimming with good will and eager for “assisting” his human in whatever is going on. So far, about the only thing that needs a bit of work is his walking on leash. Beyond that, he’s just a happy, agreeable fellow in need of a loving, forever home.
Volunteer observations: “Ardmore is a wonderfully sweet and playful boy. He enjoyed running and stretching his legs in the field. While cleaning one of the dog fields this weekend, Ardmore came running over to my side to ‘help.’ He walked with me around the field like a focused, loyal companion by my side. His demeanor seems balanced and joyful. He was smiling the whole time we visited.”
“Boy, what a good-natured fellow this guy is! We met for the first time in the corral yesterday and he didn’t hesitate to come up to me and give me a few gentle kisses. After that he wandered about sniffing for all the unknown smells that only a dog could appreciate. I called to him and he looked up and came trotting over to let me pet him some more and gave me anther kiss.”
“Ardmore fits a special niche – if you really want a male Dobe but can’t handle their usual larger size, then Ardmore’s your boy. He is a beautiful specimen in a petite package. I liked the fact that even though I was new to him, he would respond to my encouraging calls and come to me in the field. He obviously enjoys interacting with humans and giving kisses. I would describe him as joyful. Watching him cavort through the trees made me smile and laugh out loud.”
This young fellow is just at the age where all the hard work is done. He’s ready for integration into a permanent home with a loving family. If you think yours may be a match, make an appointment to meet him once your application is approved, and come see for yourself what a treasure he is. |
