Lagg comes to us from a home where he was well-loved and cared for.  Unfortunately, in the months since he became part of their family, his humans both have become ill and can no longer care for him.  Additionally, it seems that because of their health problems, he has not had any behavioral training, and he needs work in every area from leash to verbal commands.

That having been said, he’s a remarkably well-balanced, handsome, interactive fellow bursting with energy, a bundle of excellent raw Dober material just waiting for a family that can continue to nurture and love him even as they train and guide him into his full potential as an adult.

At the moment, he has unlimited, youthful exuberance and enthusiasm, but he’s also eager to please and is a quick learner.  He’s very bright, and he needs to be challenged in all the right ways to help him mature into the remarkable companion he will surely become.  He really is a blank canvas of Dober excellence, awaiting the touch of an artist skilled in producing a finished painting, so to speak, that will inspire and amaze all.

Volunteer observations:
“Lagg is one of the most handsome, medium-sized, red Dobers I have seen in my time as a volunteer. He is the type that people will stop their cars to compliment when he’s out for a walk.  I spent some time with him this past weekend, and while he was initially tentative, he clearly wanted to engage.  When he did, I was able to get some kisses from him as we interacted.  He is manageable, and I could tell he wants to be a pleaser, good qualities all around.”

It appears that this fellow is a great example of raw Dober character, talent, intellect, and ability and one who will make an outstanding companion for the family that will invest their time and love in his finishing.  If you think yours may be that family, make an appointment to meet him once your application is approved, and come see for yourself what a terrific fellow he is.
