This handsome-although-somewhat-underweight Doberboy came to us from a shelter.  He’d been surrendered when the husband’s work hours changed and the wife didn’t want to take on the responsibility of his care. He’s good around other dogs and shows no interest in the cat.  He’s outgoing and friendly - one of those Dobers who never met a stranger.

You can see from his pictures what a perfect beauty he is, and who can help laughing at him holding that toy in his mouth. He does have an unusual scar on his back, perhaps from a chemical burn, and it won‘t grow hair, as a result.  He also really loves his toys and never destroys them - most of my Dobers through the decades can‘t wait to tear their toys apart!

    Volunteer comments:
“This Dober is just a sweet guy. He’s very gentle for a young male. He is playful but also affectionate. He gives soft kisses rather than being like some who seem to be trying to lick your face off! I met him shortly after he first arrived, and it seemed as though he was already beginning to acclimate. Within 30 minutes he was engaging without hesitation. He’s just a nice, joy-filled fellow.”

“What a personality! This is a very relaxed and easy-going guy. He likes attention and will readily give you gentle kisses even if he just met you. He exhibits all the classic symptoms of the classic “Velcro Dobe.” As soon as I met him, he was ready to lean into me and bury his head between my legs as a scratched his neck.”

If this fellow doesn’t inspire you to make an appointment to meet him as soon as your application is approved, you must not really be serious about wanting a Dober!
