(Since early in the war with Ukraine, DRT has been using Ukrainian city names to support the war effort and the fight for freedom.)
Wowser! This sober-faced beauty takes my breath away! What a wonderfully handsome fellow; what dignity and bearing, even at his young age. I want him for my own! (Unfortunately, I can’t have them all, as much as I might like to.)
I have to smile at Carol’s comments: “He is young, energetic, and sweet as can be. Needs a little fattening up for sure, and you know I love to do that!” And so she does. He’ll appropriately gain a bit of weight while he’s here, and good for him.
His former mom says that he’s very active (still a pup) but loves to cuddle (good dog). And he loves to play with Kong toys and rope toys, in particular.
Volunteer comments: “What a personality! This energetic guy can’t wait to show you some love. His almond-shaped eyes will initially hide what he is thinking, but that tail wagging, going a mile a minute, gives him away for sure. He could use to put on a few pounds, which at DRT will come naturally and quickly. In addition to his great personality, he has one other endearing feature sure to be noticed. He has a rather distinct bark.. It’s hard to describe, but once you hear it you’ll know what I mean.”
"I liked Kovel from the moment I walked up to his gate. It felt like he took his hat off and welcomed me into his exercise yard and was thrilled to have company. He even gave me a huge Doberman grin! I loved that when I threw the jolly ball he would quickly retrieve it and bring it back to me for more play rather than running off with it. And I was pleased, especially at his young age, that he was just as happy to switch from excited play to sitting quietly beside to me and being petted. I could see that he was really paying attention to me and what I was saying - trying to figure out what I wanted. This pretty boy is going to be fun to teach."
Here’s a chance to make an outstanding young teenage Dober a part of your family and to finish his training to bring out the very best in him, which we can see is very good indeed. |
