BELATRUS and MARIUPOL ARE A BONDED PAIR OF SISTERS AND MUST BE PLACED TOGETHER.

(Since early in the war with Ukraine, DRT has been using Ukrainian city names to support the war effort and the fight for freedom.)

I spent a little time with these lovely ladies recently, and good girls they are!  Both were quiet, gentle, kind, and passively interactive during my visit with them.  They greeted me politely, then scouted around the small visiting area, sniffing and exploring, then circling back to me for more attention before going off exploring again.

They eagerly and politely accepted treats, and I noted that Belatrus consistently backed up a step or two before sitting to receive her treat, whereas Mariupole sat right where she was.  Both were gentle in accepting the treats too.  Both appreciated being made of and were completely at ease with each other and with me.

I’d say Mariupole is a bit more outgoing than Belatrus, but they really are a lovely pair of girls who will be a welcome addition to the family is fortunate enough to take them home.

Volunteer comments:
“These two sisters are amazing!  They are very kind and gentle when meeting people, and it’s a joy to watch them play together.”

“While taking tent tops down this weekend at DRT, I got some up close and personal supervision from this dynamic duo.  They wanted to check out almost everything I was doing (that is, in between running around and playing with each other).  Whenever I came down from the step ladder they’d both be close by, and every once in a while they’d stop and let me pet them. Trying to fold up a 10’ X 20’ tent top while one or both of them were rollicking on the top became an impossible task, so I just let them have their fun and went to take down another!  They never were destructive while playing on the tops; they just wanted to run, sit, and roll over on them. They were having a blast!”

You won’t find any fault with these Dober sisters, so if “times two”works for you and your family, make an appointment to meet them once your application is approved, and come see for yourself what a joy they are.
