This petite little bundle of Doberjoy (Ukrainian city name) was found as a stray and came to us through the courtesy of Rescue Angels. At 45 pounds, she’s about as tiny a Doberman as we’ve seen, and she’s a bit goofy to go with it.
Pretty, playful, energetic, and loving to be active and interactive, she’s really a sweet little girl. She’s very friendly, wants to please, and will come when called. On the down side, she perhaps has already been bred, even at her young age and tiny size (she’s spayed now, of course). And she came to us with kennel cough which then turned into pneumonia. After multiple vet visits and radiographs, along with a regimen of antibiotics and segregation from the other dogs during her infectious stage, she’s coming along very well and will be clear of all ills shortly.
Don’t be put off by her condition upon arrival though. They come to us in all stages of health, and we see that they are all in their best condition before we let them go to new homes. This late-teen pixie is going to make an excellent, lifelong friend for the family that is fortunate enough to take her home with them.

"I guess when people say "Good things come in small packages," they could easily be referring to Saky. She is a tiny little bundle of joy - super cute and very friendly! There was no hesitation when I introduced myself. She was comfortable, confident, and very interested in making a new friend. She has really good energy - fun, but not too much to handle. She likes to jump up to say hello, but she only gets her front paws as high as my waist. She also was quick to investigate her new surroundings while being mindful to look back to see if I was still close by."
"This dobie was an absolute sweetheart. You could tell she really enjoyed playing fetch with us in the field and really wanted to be by people and wanted to be pet. She was fairly mellow and not controlled (not bouncing off of the walls with energy) which was good mainly for families with smaller children as she would have less risk of accidentally knocking them over. I am excited to see her full personality when she is fully healthy as I believe she will make a fantastic addition to a family!"
If you think Saky may be a fit for your home, make an appointment to meet her as soon as your application is approved, and come see what a terrific little gal she is. She’s right-sized for being a snuggle buddy for even a small lap, and there’s no doubt she’ll be a very grateful and loving companion for many years to come. |
