Interested in the cat, sniffed cat and then ignored the cat.
Good with older children.

This sturdy, sober-looking fellow came to us from a young family who told us this about him
“Our family recently moved, we recently had a baby, and I am now back in school as a full time student. Yalti has such a fun-loving spirit, and unfortunately with all these changes, we have been unable to give him the kind of consistent attention he needs and deserves. He currently spends the majority of his time in a crate, which is not what we want for him.”

His human further says that Yalti loves to play but doesn’t know his own strength   He also loves playing with other dogs and has never shown any signs of aggression at all.  And he knows various commands, including to sit, stay, down, no, heel, and kennel.

“Yalti has plenty of patience to put up with a wild young Dober that visited with him today! He’s very sweet and loving, and he’d love to curl up and be a lap dog, size notwithstanding!"

“On the outside, Yalti is my idea of a great looking Dober – a big, impressive, black, cropped male.  But I learned that he is even more beautiful on the inside.  At our first meeting it was apparent how much he craves human companionship.  He actually tried to crawl into my lap and give kisses.  But he responded politely when I indicated that was unacceptable and instead stood or sat beside me (though he couldn’t help himself and would get excited all over again by my petting!). It was also good to see him interacting well with the female Dober that he had just met in the exercise field.  He’s going to make a great companion.”

It seems pretty clear that what we have here is a calendar-dog Dober who is every bit as perfect inside as out.  Don’t delay if you think he may be a match for your family.  Get that application in and approved, and make an appointment to meet him as soon as possible.   I’m confident that the first one to visit him will be taking him home.
