Meet handsome Mr. Banks! He‘s a young (approx 18-24 months) boy who was picked up as a stray. Banks was tagged as rescue only at the shelter because he was big and barked at the staff, but after our evaluation we‘ve determined he‘s a big lover (with a big bark). His tail has been surgically removed, possibly because of an injury. He knows some commands and is house trained, crate trained and walks ok on lead, so someone loved him at some point in his life. Banks is VERY ACTIVE. He‘s one heck of an athlete, and would be an excellent running and/or hiking partner. He‘s good with other large dogs (males and females) and would benefit from a younger companion to help run off some of his energy. He has a super high prey drive so no cats or small pets. He could stalk squirrels all day if allowed. They are his nemesis. Banks loves human attention and will lie directly on your feet. He‘s a silly boy and wants to be very close to his humans, he‘s the definition of velcro dog. He‘s UTD on shots, neutered, HW neg and on preventative, and microchipped. He‘s very strong and very playful so a home with small children would not be best. Banks is currently gaining weight and will probably be around 85 lbs. He‘s a lovely boy and will be an awesome companion!
