Good with other dogs.
Pokes the cat and wants to play but can get rough.  She would probably be okay with a younger cat that can escape.
Good with older children.
What a pretty little, unspoiled beauty this Dobergirl is - full of energy and goodwill, eager to play and be loved - a true jewel-in-the-rough pup.

She’s tall, sleek, and healthy.  She needs a little work on jumping up (I did say puppy) but otherwise is very obedient.  She comes when called, loves to be with her humans, and is good with other dogs.

She came to us from a family that rescued her from a less-than-ideal living situation with the expectation of finding her a proper home.  During her time with this transitional family, they have worked with her in all areas to help her mature and become a good indoor companion prior to finding a loving, permanent home for her.  They’ve made a lot of progress with her in her time with them, and thankfully they learned about DRT and the work we do in placing Dobers.  Now she is with us for a while as we continue the work they began in properly guiding her into adulthood.

Her foster mom reported that “She sits, stays, and shakes.  She‘s still pulling some on a leash but will stop on command.  She LOVES evening walks.  She runs three times a day in a large field and loves to chase balls.  She has never shown any aggression, and she really loves playing with our older dog.   She‘s a beautiful, loyal, loving girl who deserves the best.”

Volunteer comments:
“I only got to spend a few minutes with Lana, but there were two things that immediately stood out to me.  First, was what a pretty and athletic build she had.  Second but most important, was how friendly she was.  She came right up to the gate separating us, jumped up, and gave me a few light kisses while I was rubbing her head.  She was genuinely friendly, and in typical Dober fashion, wanted to let me know.”

"I got to spend a little time with her Tuesday. She likes to play and is very friendly.  She needs some leash and anti-jumping training. She‘s a sweet girl. Definitely needs someone active."

"I got to spend about 20 minutes with “Lana the Love Bug” in the Corral this past Sunday. I call her the Love Bug because it fits her personality perfectly. She is one of the happiest and sweetest young Dobes you’ll ever meet. She loves to be close and let you know just how much she appreciates your attention. She’s energetic but not rambunctious or bothersome. She just has a happy disposition and isn’t shy about letting you know. After about 10 or 15 minutes of exchanging affections, she decided she’d explore the adjoining small field and came back with one of the Jolly balls she’d found. She was having a great time with it and a few times came close enough to show me her prize, but not close enough for me to grab it. I think she may have wanted me to chase after it and her too, but she was much too quick for me. This is one special young girl!"

If you’re looking for a healthy, happy, loving young Dobergirl, you can’t do better than this.  Make an appointment to meet her once your application is approved, and come meet and observe her.  You won’t be disappointed.
