This handsome Doberboy was found as a stray and brought to us by Rescue Angels (may their tribe increase).
As so often happens with strays, he comes to us with heart worm, that deadly, invasive, life-draining parasite that costs so very much to treat and eradicate. If you are moved to donate to this significant cost, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you have played a direct part in restoring this fellow's internal well-being and in removing these invasive miseries heart.
His sweet, engaging, enthusiastic personality just radiates from his pictures. He's a natural charmer and energetic companion with a zest for life and interaction with his humans. This fellow is fully engaged and a joy to be around.
Volunteer comments:
“The three things that struck me with my brief time with Covid were 1) his beautiful markings and color – beautiful deep red mahogany; 2) his size – he’s a big boy; and 3) how happy and friendly he is. Some dogs that come to DRT are initially nervous, shy, and withdrawn, which is understandable given their change in environment, but not Covid. As soon as I walked up to the gate at the ramp, he jumped up and wanted to start giving me kisses.”
“I hope this guy gets a new home soon so that he can get a good and proper name!”
“Covid is another great boy. A little shy at first but his desire for approval overcomes it quickly. If you lean over to perform a chore he will come by and give sweet kisses and then off he goes again.”
I'll have to agree with the second comment in particular! :-)
If you're looking for a Dober (and you must be, or why would you be on our site), you'll have a hard time finding a better one than this, temporary virus name notwithstanding. So make an appointment to meet him once your application is approved, and come see in person what a find this fellow is. I'm guessing if you do, you'll be “feeling his disease” as you “Come Together” and share an armchair (or a sofa, as the case may be. If you're puzzled by the references, think "Beatles.") |
