It’s not often you see a white Doberman, it being the least-common color of our beloved breed, but here’s a handsome example. He’s still a pup who hasn’t grown into his full size yet, but it’s clear he’s going to be a beauty.
He came to us from a girl who had taken him when a friend could not keep him. She still lives at home, however, and while she planned to keep him, her parents had other ideas. She held out for a week, but in the end the parents won and together they brought him to us to leave for placement in a permanent home. He’s so young, he didn’t even flinch at the changes and just wants to play with anyone who will give him attention.
He’s a thoroughly rowdy boy who jumps and barks and rips up his bedding and otherwise behaves exactly as one would expect an untrained puppy to act. That having been said, he’s really, really adorable, and his puppy behavior is gladly forgiven in light of the promise of becoming an outstanding adult as he matures over the next year or so. Volunteer comments: “Chalk is a sweetheart full of youthful exuberance. He loves being close to you and he loves to play. It only take a moment to tell that this young man has a heart of gold!”
“Chalk is a young white male who just arrived at DRT. Right now he has large paws and a body that hasn't grown into them yet. At 8 months old, he still has some growing ahead of him, so it is hard to tell just how big he is ultimately going to get. As a juvenile Dober, he is full of mischief and curiosity. He can be a little mouthy, but he is definitely not mean spirited. C halk just needs a little training as all Dobies his age do. He loves attention and can be vocal if you aren't giving him enough. He is friendly and wants to socialize. He definitely wants to be included in all activities. Chalk is very cute in so many ways and will definitely put a smile on your face. In principle, I have always believed "Dogs are what you make them," and Chalk is no different. The best news is that he is an unfinished product that you can help mold into your perfect Doberman!”
From reading his profile, you get the picture. This is some outstanding Dober material just waiting for proper finishing as he matures into a proper adult. If you think your home is a match, and if you’re willing to give him the time and training needed to bring him along, make an appointment to meet him once your application is approved, and come see for yourself what a terrific boy he is.
There’s no doubt he’ll be a terrific addition to the family fortunate enough to take him home. |
