This picture-perfect fellow came to us from a home where he was loved and well cared for.  His owner came to the conclusion there wasn't time for him to “care for him right,” so she chose to surrender him to DRT for placement in a home that does have the time for an outstanding Dober.

The pictures tell the story of his remarkable perfection.  And if you have any familiarity with Doberman body language and facial expressions, you can see that his temperament and personality are every bit as good as his looks.

Being that he is young yet and his former owner didn’t work with him a lot, he needs a few manners with jumping up and pulling on a leash, but, as Carol says, “he’s sweet as heck.”  In his few days with us so far, we are all very impressed with his remarkable quality.

Volunteer comments:
“If you are reading this, you have already noticed his pictures are stunning.  He’s a friendly red who likes to give kisses and very much a companion dog who wants to be with you.  His personality is my favorite because he mirrors his energy level to that of his companion.  He appears to be very trainable, as he is a good listener who comes when called.  As a weekend volunteer, I hope I get to spend more time with him, but I don't expect him to be around long.  He just has too many great qualities.”

“Eros is a super sweet red.  For me, he is good on a leash and was ready to greet with a stump wag and some doggy kisses.  He sits for a treat and was more than happy to get some pets. He is a really happy boy who will be a great dog to take home!”

“This strikingly handsome guy will probably have found a new home by the next time I get over to DRT!  Anybody who sees him and spends fifteen minutes with him will be love struck!  He’s aptly named for sure!  He has a loving and playful personality that will win you over instantly.”

Any way you stack it, this is an outstanding fellow, so if you’re serious about making a Dober part of your family, make an appointment to meet him once your application is approved, and come spend a bit of time with him in person.  Just don’t expect to go home alone.
