EZEKIEL IS PART OF A BONDED PAIR WITH MARIA AND WILL NOT BE PLACED SEPARATELY.

Despite their similarity in appearance and their total devotion to one another, these two beautiful Dobers are not related.  They came to us together from a home where the owner is going through a divorce and is staying at her mother's house.  Unfortunately, she works full time and her mom just had a stroke.  As a result of all that’s going on in her life, she can no longer give them the time and attention they need, so she’s sadly had to surrender them for placement in a new home.  Because they are so bonded, they are only available as a pair to go together to one home.

Maria is definitely the boss of this pair.  She’ll let Ezekiel know when she's had enough and give him a quick snap or pounce on him to remind him she's in charge.  By comparison, he can seem a little intimidating when meeting strangers (at a distance).  He will bark in a menacing way but is in fact barking from uncertainty.  Once he's approached, he's all full of tail wags and kisses.

As you can see from their pictures, they are both beautiful, healthy, energetic, playful dogs who love life and love doing everything together.  Not surprisingly, they also love human attention and affection and are very interactive with and responsive to their humans.

Volunteer comments:
“Both are good looking dogs that look like brother and sister even though they aren't.  Their affection for one another is undeniable.  They are very curious and like to explore together.  Despite their love for one another, they will work hard to gain your attention.  They will definitely compete to get the majority of whatever human companionship is available!”

"I met Maria and Ezekiel today and they are beautiful, sweet dogs.  Maria came right up to me for greetings and pets. Ezekiel gave me a good sniff, took a few seconds to think about it, and then gave me a Doberman lean.  That means he wants to be friends.  It was so nice to be able to work on a project for DRT while these two lay together at our feet, playing with a toy between them.  They just blended in, and I imagine they will do the same in someone’s family."

Everything about these two says they are well adjusted and trouble free.  All they need is a new home where they can continue to be the terrific companions they are.  If you think your home may be a match for this twofer, make an appointment to meet them once your application is approved, and come see for yourself how outstanding they are.
