This lovely, beautifully-formed young Dobergirl came to us from a home where the owner wasn’t able to get insurance for a Doberman.  (I feel a rant coming on.)  I wonder if ankle-biter breed owners can get insurance for their all-too-often aggressive dogs?  (OK, taking a deep breath - focus on the dog.)

Seeing her name and being an old guy, my mind went immediately to the Beatles’ song from the White Album, “dear Prudence.”   I wore that album out in the old days and still dust off the CD (where did the actual album go?) and play it when I need a Beatles fix.

Just for the fun of it, here’s the first verse:

“Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play?
Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day, hey
The sun is up, the sky is blue
It's beautiful, and so are you
Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play?

(A gold star smack in the middle of the forehead for anyone who knows the back story on the lyrics!)

Unlike her namesake in the song, our “dear” Prudence loves to come out and play.  She’s full of energy and goodwill, is easy to manage, and overall is a delightful, sweet, loving dog.

Volunteer comments:
“Prudence is just a fun dog.  She’s the perfect size and has a soft, glossy coat.  She’s spirited and curious.  She likes to play and enjoys running in circles around her two legged friends! She seems to have some training and doesn’t jump up on people.  She’ll surely be a great companion for the right family!”

You know the sequence: 1) submit application; 2) receive approval;  3) then make an appointment to meet and visit with her; 4) take her home.   Now get busy.   :-)
