FRANCHESE

FRANCHESE
NOT Available For Adoption
Gender: Female
Color: Blue w/Rust
Age: 2 yrs.
WT: 70 lbs.
Ears: Cropped
Tail: Docked
Altered: Spayed
Micro Chipped: Home Again
House Trained: Yes
Good with some dogs.
Original test:  Seemed interested at first and then ignored the cat.   Presently she is barking at the cat when she sees him.  She should not be in a home with a cat.
Good with older children.

This remarkably beautiful young Dobergirl came to us from a residence where she had been bought to be used as breeding stock and where, along with another Dober, she was kept in the back yard. Before she could be bred, the owner died unexpectedly and the wife advertised her as being available "to the first person who gets here!"

Thankfully she is now spayed, so her future will be very much brighter than it would have been. And, despite having been a “yard dog,” she arrived totally house trained, so no issues there.

She is a beautiful, dark slate blue color with a very nice coat, although when we picked her up we thought she was red due to all the dirt on her coat!

She was here with us for a short time and then adopted, but over the course of a few months' communication with the adopter and as occasionally happens with an adoption, it became apparent this was not a good owner/Dober match, so now she's back with us at Elijah's House, where she happily awaits new owners who will make her a lasting part of their family. Upon her return, she was nearly fifteen pounds underweight, but she's back to a healthy weight now.

When she's behind a fence, she'll lunge at another dog - something about the fence, I guess, and not uncommon. She walks well on leash, calmly staying beside her human as they walk. She also jumps into an SUV without any problem and enjoys the ride. And as is typical for our favorite breed, she loves all people. It’s a Doberman thing and especially so once they find people who love and care about them.

Volunteer comments:
“Franchese is a bounding bundle of love. She is a very exuberant young girl who just loves to be close to you. Her happy face and quick kisses are hard to resist!

“She will pull you on a leash but once you let go it’s a different story - she won’t let you out of her sight and comes when called.”

"This little girl is is full of energy and likes to play. If I had to describe her personality, it's like watching a fireworks display - lots of oohs and ahhs, and colorful explosions that make you smile. She'd be a great jogging or biking partner to help burn off all that energy."

“She’s a little rocket that LOVES to run and chase, and is SO fast! She has a very playful attitude and a non-stop motor. There’s still a lot of puppy in this girl, and she needs a little training as she can get a little mouthy when over stimulated. She is a perfect fit for a family with an active lifestyle, and her personality will make you want to take her with you wherever you go.”

"I love Franchese. She has a lot of energy when outside but will calm down and snuggle with you inside."

“It was a little slow this past Saturday, so I got the opportunity to take Franchese for a jog to see how she would do.  She is such an energetic Dobie, and I was fairly certain she would enjoy it. We ran approximately two miles in a little over twenty minutes, so not a sprinters pace.  Franchese was great.  She pulled a little during the first mile (What Dobie doesn't pull a little at the start of a run?) but settled in nicely once she understood what we were doing.  She did well on the leash, always wanting to be out front but understanding this was not the time to smell all the various dog scents and markings.  At the end, I was certainly more tired than she, and I could see how much she appreciated the one-on-one attention.  As I was catching my breath on the bench, Franchese smothered me with a few wet kisses to let me know how much fun she had.  The experiment was definitely a success, and if you are someone with an active lifestyle, Franchese would make a perfect companion.”

"Franchese is beautiful and full of confidence. She was pretty good for her bath. She enjoyed climbing onto and off of the patio table too. Haha!"

“Even though she's quite exuberant outside, Franchese is an absolute sweetheart and very calm at night time when I sit in her run with her and give her special time. She is very loving and people oriented. She also loves to play with her Wiggly Wag ball which makes wonky noises when she rolls it around on the floor.”

"This little girl is delightful friendly and very fun loving! She loves to be out with us when we work!"

The short of it is, this is just a beautiful young Dobergirl who is ready for a loving home that can provide the care and attention needed to guide her into maturity. If you think your home may be the one, make an appointment to meet her once your application is approved, and come spend a little time interacting with her. I'm confident you'll find her to be a loving bundle of energy and playful goodwill.
