What a lovely, lovely Doberboy this one is, despite having been abandoned at his former home when his owner moved to a breed-restrictive apartment.

Realizing he had been abandoned, a neighbor family with previous Dober familiarity took him in and worked on getting him healthy with the hope of keeping him.  (He was severely underweight, lethargic, and had intestinal worms.)  Once he gained some weight, however, it became obvious to them he was too high energy for their family and three-year-old, whom he kept knocking over in play!  Thankfully he’s with us now as he awaits a new home that can properly meet his needs.

Mama Carol says he has a “very nice personality, is dog friendly, and makes friends easily."  Oh, and he also does a huge Doberman grin!

Our volunteers add these observations:

“Plain and simple, he’s a big, goofy boy full of love!”

“He’s a fun and lively dog.  He is a beautiful, strong boy that loves playing and interacting with people.”

“Musa is a wonderful boy.  It was a nice surprise to see how well he walks on a leash.  When sitting next to him, he will put his head in your lap for you to rub.”

"Musa is such a large sweet dog! When you come to the door and let him out he'll rub up against you and wait for you to love on him. He does a lot of quirky things, but he's so gentle and sweet he'll make someone an amazing dog."

He's now worm-free, is continuing to gain weight toward optimal, and is about to be neutered.  Your part, if he looks like a fit for your family, is to make an appointment to meet him once your application is accepted, and come see for yourself what a true champion this fellow is.  I’m guessing if you do, this Musa may be your muse for many years to come.
