Here's a fabulous gift for the Doberman Lover, or any dog lover. It is a Hand Carved Emu egg, done by Ron Cheruka, one of the best known egg carvers around, and this is a new style of carving for him. The Emu is the Australian cousin to the Ostrich and the colors you see are the actual colors. Carving the design into the dark green outer layer was the first style tried but the dark layer did not allow the design to be seen correctly. It was hard to discern what it was. For this style, the design is reversed and carved through the back of the egg, an opening is then cut in front of it and you are viewing the design on the inside, bright white, of the egg shell. It is much like a shadow box. The egg is about 5 to 6 inches tall.
The display stand does come with the egg and please remember that every cent goes to DRT. To make sure of this, the egg will be shipped by the Artist. Please bid accordingly.
